What is the Subclass 186 Visa?
The Subclass 186 Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Visa is a permanent residence visa for skilled workers. It allows skilled workers, who are nominated by their employer, to live and work in Australia permanently. This visa has three main streams:
Temporary Residence Transition (TRT) Stream
1. Direct Entry (DE) Stream
2. Labour Agreement (LA) Stream
Each stream has its own set of requirements and caters to different circumstances, ensuring that various skilled workers can qualify.

Eligibility Criteria:
General Requirements:
Nomination by an Australian Employer: You must be nominated by an approved Australian employer.
Skills and Qualifications: You must possess the necessary skills and qualifications for the nominated position.
English Proficiency:
English Proficiency: Demonstrate competent English language proficiency.
Direct Entry (DE) Stream:
You must have your skills assessed by the relevant assessing authority.
You must have at least three years of relevant work experience.
You must meet the age requirement of being under 45 years old at the time of application.
Labour Agreement (LA) Stream:
You must be nominated by an employer who has a labour agreement with the Australian government.
You must meet the age, skills, and English language requirements specified in the labour agreement.
Temporary Residence Transition (TRT) Stream:
You must have worked for your employer in Australia on a Subclass 457, 482, or related bridging visa for at least three years.
